TEMP Lab at UCSD People Publications Education News Contact Welcome to the T hermal E nergy M aterials and P hysics ( TEMP ) Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD. We are a group of scientists and engineers interested in anything related to TEMP erature and thermal energy, including thermal transport, conversion, storage, and management across different length scales. In particular, we are working on developing nanostructured materials and devices for thermal to electrical energy conversion and studying fundamental transport physics of charge and heat carriers (electrons, phonons and photons) at micro and nano scale. We are also developing materials and systems for applications in solar-thermal energy conversion and thermal management. For more information in our research, please see our publications.
